About Marq
Marq is a design and templating platform built for marketing teams. The platform helps marketers create on-brand content at scale through templates and design automation.
Challenge
Marq came to Scalerrs with a specific problem: Reddit.
They needed a vendor to help them engage on Reddit more strategically. Steven Loewy, VP of Marketing, had heard about Scalerrs through a colleague in a CMO network and brought them in to figure out the right approach.
But the Reddit engagement was only the surface problem.
Underneath it was a bigger one. Marq had over 400 blog pages, a significant content asset, but most of it wasn't built for how search works today. Google Core updates had changed what ranks. LLMs had changed where buyers find answers. Unfortunately, Marq's content wasn’t structured for the new search landscape.
They needed a partner who could revise, update, and scale content production while respecting strong editorial standards.
Strategy
We started with Reddit and quickly expanded the scope.
Once it became clear how much runway existed on the inbound side, we built a broader strategy around it: SEO content & AI search optimization.
Since LLMs pull from the same content ranking on Google, every SEO win fed AI search visibility at the same time.
Content Creation
Content quality was non-negotiable.
Marq's team had a very specific editorial style and deep product expertise. Every article had to meet those standards while also performing in search.
We worked closely with the internal team to understand their brand voice, product positioning, and audience.
The feedback process was highly collaborative, allowing us to continuously refine the content until it felt like something the writers at Marq would have written internally.
At the same time, we dramatically increased content production.
This allowed Marq to refresh existing content while publishing new articles that addressed how marketers search today.
As a result, we produced content the team genuinely felt confident putting in front of customers.
AI Search
As AI search became a larger source of software discovery, Mark wanted to ensure the brand appeared consistently when marketers asked product-related questions.
Rather than optimizing only their own website, we focused on improving Marq's visibility across the wider ecosystem AI models rely on: Reddit, third-party listicles, etc.
Today, Marq has over 11,101 AI citations across tracked prompts in just three months.
More importantly, qualified inbound leads increasingly report discovering the company through AI search.
We identified relevant communities where marketers were already discussing templates, creative workflows, and design operations.
